Hi, my name is Keneisha and I'm The Gift Genie. Owing my own business was always a dream of mine so I decided it was time that I tap into my creativity and make that big leap. First I had to have the perfect name for the business, I must say that it took a couple of months. I wanted a name that I believe was going to be a stapler in any household and one that would describe us and what we did by just saying it. Hence the birth of The Gift Genie, once I chose that name I knew it would resonate with a lot of people. I officially launched The Gift Genie in May 2018 mostly to friends and family. I would create/customize gift boxes/baskets that their loved ones truly appreciated and loved, I mean who doesn't love a beautifully wrapped gift? I did extremely well and still do in that area, a lot of people have a really hard time shopping for gifts. I offer them a relief, they know that whatever I come up with will always deliver happiness. I think what sets me a part from maybe other businesses is that I delve into the personality of the person who is getting the gift, I gather research and come up with unique gifts that will be treasured for a lifetime.
As with any business, you have to grow and very soon I wanted to add to what I offered. Don't get me wrong, I love creating those gift baskets/boxes but I knew that was not all that I had to offer. I had put on my Mother's Day wish list that I wanted a Cricut Machine, to my surprise hubby and my two boys listened. I got my Cricut and soon I had expanded to doing more personalizations, I was now creating T-Shirts, custom mugs/wineglasses, home decor etc. But even with doing all of that I felt like I could push myself more, what more could I do? I started to research candles, how to make them, fragrances, wax, the science behind all of it. I would watch YouTube videos for hours at night and visit other candle companies pages to get ideas on where to get my products etc. From the get go, I knew my candles had to be different. I didn't want them to look like other candles, they had to make a statement, so one day I bought a candle kit from Amazon and got to work. I tested and tested until I felt my candles were perfect enough to launch as another layer of The Gift Genie. Today those candles are my best sellers, the love I've received and the support is unmatched. I couldn't have done it without my loyal customers.
At this moment, The Gift Genie is mostly a one man operation and all the work is done from inside my home. The ultimate dream is to have a store front, have employees and ultimately a manufacturing space so that when The Gift Genie expands which I believe and have faith that it will, I will be able to fulfill my customers demands. I am still creating and thinking of new products, a maker never sleeps!

I have purchased quite a few items from the Gift Genie and have always been extremely impressed with not only the quality of the products but also the presentation. Her parfumes are heavenly, her gift boxes are beautifully and thoughtfully put together and her candles are the best i’ve ever smelled. The scent fills up our entire house.
